Koh Samui
Leaving Phi Phi early in the morning, we took a ferry to Koh Samuai, the biggest and most populated of the southern Thailand islands. Samuai reminded us of Bali, very built up and many resorts. We arrived in the evening after a long day of travel.
Once we arrived we caught a cab to our hotel on the other side of the island and had a relaxing evening. We walked around and enjoyed the night markets. We tried to book a tour for the next day but were unable too as they were completely full due to the influx of tourists for Chinese New Year. So we slept in then explored in our own. The waves were much bigger on Samui and the beach was pretty packed. After some exploring and beach time we went to the night markets again and did some shopping! Overall the 36 hours we spent in Samuai was fun, but because we had a great time not because we did anything fantastic there. We were pleased with our planning as all we needed was the day there. The next morning, off to see Lisa on Koh Tao!!
